heb veel info gevonden voor een klant
Wij moeten in plaats van auto's een keer
een k100rs van een klant goed afstellen
De klant bleek bij de BMW motorfietsdealer
slecht geholpen te worden.
Deze beschikt niet eens over een CO of
beter nog viergastester.
Met de gevonden technische info hopen wij het wel goed te doen.

Freunde der gleiche Gesinnung !
Ich fahre eine K100RT - Umbau auf LT - Baujahr 1985 - 80500 km.
Fahre sie seit 11 Jahren und bin sehr zufrieden.
Es macht immer wieder Spass aufzusteigen.
War gerade in Immenreuth auf eurem Treffen - ist ja eine geile Mucke - so ein K-Treffen.
Mach jetzt mal Fußballpaus und fahre dann wieder hin.
Endlich mal ein Treffen mit lauter gleichgesinnten.
Bin überrascht wo ihr alle herkommt und keine weite Anfahrt und keine Kosten scheut bei so einem Treffen dabei zu sein.
Großes Lob auch an die Organisatoren und den Helfern dieses Events - Toller Platz - Tolle Veranstaltung - und Tollen Draht zum Wettergott.
Grüße an alle K-Fahrer(innen) und solche die es werden wollen. |

| Text: | What a great site! I've currently got a Honda CX500C, 1980, but I'm very interested in a K75, & found your site while looking for model specs.
Your English is a lot better than my German (drei beer, bitte ...), but I would be happy to go through your text and straighten out the little mistakes in translation. I don't know how to go about that in a manner that will allow me to change things & transmit back, but if you do, I'm all for it --- you may send the first section when you are ready ... I'll go through it & send it back. I have a 5 year-old Dell, PC, windows ME, 128 RAM (so don't make the sections too big) -- no CD burner; we'll need to send by email. I have Word ... how about Word attachments to email?

fahre seit Februar 2002 K100 RS 4V. Gebraucht mit 71000km gekauft. Bei 86000km neue Kupplung, bei 96000km neue Tauchrohre und Dämpfer hinten.
Jetzt bei 107000km Kardanwelle hinten und Radsatz kaputt. Bin am überlegen ob Reparatur noch sinnvoll. Ist ein tolles Motorrad. |

| Text: | Moin, bin eingefleischter BMW-Fahrer - ansich lieber Boxer, aber immer wieder zwischndurch bin ich auch K gefahren. Besitze inzwischen 3 BMW - meine Frau ist duldsam und hat die Erfahrung gemacht, dass sie auch "gut davon hat", wenn der Mann sein Spielzeug hat. Fahre eine R 80G/S und eine R 11100S - hatte meine K100Basis gerade verkauft, als ich durch Zufall eine K sah, die ich haben mußte: Eine 86er K100 Komplettumbau Michel (Verkleidung, Höckersitzbank,verchromte Rasten,Motordeckel, veränderte Gabel und Stoßdämpfer, L&W Auspuff..) mit original (nachweisbar!kein Tauschtacho) 3.950 KM. Habe ich mir letztes Wochenende geholt und wird jetzt liebevoll "aufgepeppelt" - ist aber in einem traumhaften, fast Neuzustand.
Weiß jemand, wo Michel abgeblieben ist? Gibt es die Firma noch?
Stelle mal bei Gelegenheit Bilder ein - hat jemand ein ähnliches Fahrzeug? Hatte bisher noch keinen solchen Umbau gesehen.

Prima Website!! Meine K-Bike ist 1986 K100RT mit fast 200.000km. Der Motor geht immer sehr gut, und mit neue Lackierung (letzt Januar) sie scheint fast wie einen neuen Motorrad.
Scheib mir einen email und schicke ich ein paar Fotos von unser 1700km "road trip" nach "The Okanagan Valley" in West Kanada!

nach 2 Stunden möchte ich erst mal euren Besuch beenden, aber nicht vergessen Danke zu sagen für die vielen Infos. Ich konnte mit euer Hilfe feststellen, dass ich eine der letzenten K100-II-Maschine gekauft habe und nach nun mehr als 15 Jahren noch immer begeistert bin. Die BMW-Entwicklung habe ich mit vielen Maschinen ab der R75/5 (1972) persönlich mitgemacht, die letzte R100 (1982, 67PS) habe ich mir erhalten. Die K100 neu gekauft als Ladenhüter im Jahre 1990, angemeldet 1991, wird mich vielleicht zu Euch am 24.06.2005 in die Oberpfalz tragen. Eure homepage ist Klasse, vielen Dank für die vielen Infos und Eure Mühe, bis bald. 22.05.2005 Michael Fischer. |

| Text: | Hallo K-Freunde. Ich bin sehr beeindruckt von flyingbrick.de - wird sofort zur Favoriten hinzugefügt. Bin als alten MC-fahrer vor 2 Jahren von R-series auf meine K-100RT/LT umgestiegen und hat mich verliebt (in der K). Ein besseres Motorrad gibt es wohl kaum. Das jährliches Touren durch Deutchland nach München ist immer der Höhepunkt des Jahres. Ich wohne auf der kleinen Insel Bornholm Mitten im Ostsee und auch hier gibt es einige K-Fahrer die sich kein andere Motorrad vorstellen können. Vielen Dank für die sehr gelungene Webpage. |

I have been surfing the flyingbrick web sight and I am very impressed with what info I have found, But please could we have much more in English within the area of modifications and translations.
I have had a few BMW's over the years and I will never go back to a Jap bike ever again, my K100RT 1984 model, has now clocked up a little over 190,000 klm and is still in her original condition, and as to this date (May,2005) no major mechanical work has been done to my darling BM,
I thank the BMW team for the futuristic insight of the time,

I live in the Northeast in New Hampshire. Riding here is difficult for at least two of the four seasons. (Snow or mud)
But there is some beutiful riding here, especially in the fall. My K-75 just turned 39,000 Miles, and as soon as the weather breaks here, I'll be adding more to that.

habe mich nach intensivem Studium Eurer Seite entschlossen, eine 86er K 75 S zu kaufen. Seit ich vor 2 1/2 Jahren mit 29-jähriger Verspätung gemacht hatte, habe ich alles gefahren, was ich kriegen konnte, von SR 500 bis GSX 750 R. War alles entweder zu klein, zu unbequem oder zu teuer. Der Ziegelstein kam zur rechten Zeit.Jetzt hoff ich auf viele entspannte K- ilometer.

At the age of 60 I have decided to take up "biking" again and have just purchased my first Beemer it is a 1984 K100RS and has not been used for a while.Because of its age I expected some minor problems and I have not been disappointed but I did expect it to do more than 60 MPH? at around 3000rpm the power just falls so if this is a common problem and anyone knows a quick cure please E mail me.
Anyway apart from being a little heavy and the bars a bit narrow it seems a fine machine.
Hopefully when it is all sorted it will take me many miles.

| Text: | On Sunday April 24 I saw a computer based advertisement for a 1986 K75C at a BMW dealership in a town about 30 km away. I went on the following Tuesday to see the bike and arranged for a test ride today, Friday April 29.
A discussion with my wife followed and being the good woman, tomorrow I am off to buy this Flyingbrick - it's black with the "city" paniers and has only 25,000 km. I am 61 years old and haven't owned a motorcycle since i986. My older son has been letting me ride his BMW F650GS for the last 2 years and it has rekindled my interest in having a bike again. I think your web site is great and it was a help to me when I was looking for K model information. I will be a frequent visitor as I get to know my "new" bike. Thanks a lot, . . . Greg

Ich bin nun auch seit dem 12.08.04 ganz stolzer Besitzer einer K 100 Baujahr 1984 mit 101.000Km Mein erstes richtiges Motorrad, und mein Führerschein ist auch nur wenige Monate älter.
Aber ich muß sagen, das Beste was mir passieren konnte. Habe, trotz "Winter" inzwischen 11.000km darauf abgerissen,und keiner hat mir leid getan. Ja, ich bin Baujahr 1948 und in der Blüte meines Daseins.Früher waren Frau, Kinder und Haus wichtiger. Ja die Kinder sind aus dem Haus und die Frau fährt fast immer mit. Kann es schöner sein? Ich habe vom Gourmerider von Euch gehört und schaue oft die interessanten Beiträge an.Weiter so |

| Text: | Recently collected my third Black 1987 K100RS. I keep buying them because theyre such a great bike, and then changing them to something different. This one I think I will keep. It comes fitted with a Watsonian Squire Cambridge sidecar that is great for family travelling. I still have an R1150GS for solo riding.
I love the bricks because they are so reliable and competent, they look like a proper bike and second hand, they offer loads of quality bike for very little money.
Excellent website, keep up the great work!
